On 15th October 2008 at the International Ringing Cedars of Russia Readers’ Conference an Organising Committee was elected to form an International Organisation that will connect Kin’s Domain settlements world wide, support their work and represent them globally. The first suggested task of the Organization was to offer practical solutions to the present world crises. It was agreed at the conference that facilitating the implementation of Kin’s Domain settlement programmes world-wide as being the pivotal first step.

Context

The proponents of the movement have already begun fundamental implementation of the Kin’s Domain concept. This successful model has benefited the lives of thousands of families who hold to minimal energy and resource use for ethical, ecologic and economic reasons. All this has happened without any substantial support from powerful institutions, corporations or governments.

Kin’s Domain programmes are the best available solution for practically all the individual and collective problems of the World. They lead progressively to the development of smaller, decentralised and self-reliant neighbourhoods. They provide for all the individual and social needs of the families, and most of all they address the limitations of current society: humanity is at the peak of resource use, yet most people’s lives lack meaningful purpose and content.

The concepts of the Ringing Cedars books have inspired thousands of readers to start building their Kin’s Domains or Kin’s Domain settlements. In recent years the phenomenon has spread around the whole world. Forming an international association in support of these concepts has become an imperative.

The role of The Association is to unite these ideas and to appear in public as the official representative of Kin’s Domains.

1. To encourage and support the materialization of Kin’s Domain communities world-wide.

2. To help the world resolve global economic, agricultural, environmental, and social crises by working with the UN, governments, and similar organizations.


Our methods are:

To represent the International Ringing Cedars movement, accordingly:

1. To be a focal point of all world-wide activities related to Kin’s Domains.

2. To log and unite all Kin's Domain settlements world-wide and to serve as a support network between them, encouraging cooperation in terms of education, legal consulting etc.

3. To encourage and support the research showing how efficient the Kin’s Domain model is in solving global problems.

4. To administer the central multi-lingual knowledge database (Kin’s Domain library) related to the ideas of sustainable lifestyles as outlined by the Kin’s Domain concept.

5. To organize international events (conferences, congresses, seminars) for the general public, for members, in addition to association with other organizations to advance and disseminate the ideas of Kin's Domains.

6. To provide a comprehensive website as a database or information and communication facility between members.

7. To gather and disseminate information on Kin’s Domain settlement models – via writing articles, blogs, films, etc.
