The decision on establishing the Association was made in October 2008 in Turkey, at the International Readers' Conference. The conference was attended by representatives from many countries: Australia, Barbados, Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Iraq, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Ukraine and USA.
The attendants of the conference agreed it was necessary to establish a new international organisation, which would implement the Kin's Domains concepts world wide, and provide the support to governmental and international organisations such as UN. Later on the decision on establishing the organisation under the name "Ringing Cedars" was unanimously accepted.
After long discussions, arguments and consultations the committee opted for a different name. Based on thorough reflection and taking into account many readers' opinions, the originally suggested "Ringing Cedars" was changed to "Kin's domains".
The main two arguments for the decision were:
1. Objections from the representatives of the Ringing Cedars trademark owners.
2. The term Kin's Domains better represents the core idea and tasks of the organisation.
